BitchPlease presents sheWrites; an all-female songwriting camp initiative; bringing together the very best female producers, song writers and engineers, writing to brief and in collaboration with artists.
Supported by Steinberg, Kobalt, Adam Audio and Native Instruments
Women creating together
Studios full of writers, producers and engineers, crafting songwriting gold, creating not only great music, but a global network of the finest musical talent, the new generation, the best of the best. This is our vision. But what makes this unique? Time and again, we find ourselves thinking, why am I the only woman in the room? Where are all the other talented female musicians out there, and why is it so hard to find each other?
The easy answer, it’s just a numbers game - our ranks are swelling but there aren’t enough of us yet. sheWrites aims to counter that - bringing together women who make sick beats, write great toplines, killer hooks, and who want the energy and excitement of working in a high energy, all female environment. We are working in conjunction with major publishers, labels and sponsors, to facilitate maximum creativity and productivity for a week of co-writing, networking and inspiration through a growing global music community. We are excited to welcome the very best in female and female-identifying music talent to our camps!
We claim no copyright over any songs written at the camp, all writers retain their own publishing rights.
BitchPlease is a non-profit organisation charging no application or admittance fees - the camp is by invitation only, although all can apply, participation is based purely on merit.
We co-ordinate with our writers and producers each day, curating writing groups and supplying briefs from our publishing partners.
